Every weekday, the CNBC Investing Club with Jim Cramer holds a “Morning Meeting” livestream at 10:20 a.m. ET. Here’s a recap of Tuesday’s key moments. 1. Stocks rebounded Tuesday as semiconductor stocks bounced ahead of Nvidia’s earnings Wednesday evening. Treasury yields declined for a second straight session, with the 10-year Treasury yield falling to about 4.66%, easing some of the pressure that higher rates have recently put on stocks. Nvidia , Intel , Micron , and AMD all traded higher, though Jim cautioned that growing political pushback against data center development has created another source of uncertainty for the AI trade. That’s why we’ve been taking profits in some of our biggest AI winners — including Broadcom on Monday and Corning this morning — rather than risk giving back gains. “When I was at my hedge fund, when we knew we were poorly positioned, but we felt longer term we might be fine, we still had to cut back a little,” Jim said. “Stubborn is not a strategy.” Investors are also looking ahead to Wednesday’s PCE inflation report and Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s speech at Jackson Hole on Friday. 2. Jim remains confident in Nvidia, which is on pace to snap a seven-day losing streak, despite growing scrutiny of AI spending and concerns about the circular nature of some of the company’s investments. He highlighted SpaceX’s plans to exclusively use Nvidia’s next-generation Vera Rubin chips to build out its AI infrastructure as another vote of confidence in the company’s technology. Still, Jim acknowledged that positive announcements may not be enough to immediately reverse the negative sentiment surrounding the stock. 3. Club name Apple unveiled the updated Mac Mini and Mac Studio models with new chips designed to improve AI performance. The new Mac Mini starts at $899, $100 more than the previous model, as Apple continues passing along higher memory and storage costs. Jim said those price increases could support profitability if consumers accept them. However, he continues to view memory costs as an important variable for Apple and said access to lower-cost Chinese memory could provide a significant benefit. “This stock needs to have Chinese memory,” Jim said. “If you get Chinese memory, then the stock takes up to the high.” 4.
