There is a particular kind of confusion that comes with liking someone who seems to like you back, but never actually does anything about it.
They talk to you often. They remember things you mentioned in passing. They somehow manage to be around you quite a lot. But when it comes to actually saying something, they pull back.
It can leave you wondering, “Okay, so what exactly is going on here?”
Sometimes, the answer is simple. They are interested, but they are nervous about making the first move. They could be worried about rejection, afraid of making things awkward or simply unsure whether you feel the same way.
So, instead of saying it outright, they drop hints.
