Thailand PM visits aftermath of deadly Bangkok bar fire


Footage shows the aftermath of a deadly fire at a Bangkok pub that broke out just after midnight local time on Monday.

At least 27 people have been killed, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said.

Charnvirakul, who attended the scene, told media that a musician who was on stage at the time of the incident said there was a “fire at a cutout switch”. The cause of the fire is under investigation, the prime minister said.

The incident took place at a bar named locally as Rong Beer Na Lat Phrao, which is located in the Chatuchak district of Bangkok.
